Today was a FULL day, but lots of fun!! It started out in Cashion at 7:00am where we all meet to run a Benefit 5K Run for Kaycee Evans (a friend who is fighting cancer for the second time in three years). It was my first 5K ever!! Carin was soo nice to run with me the whole way. She went my pace and talked to me the whole time!! It was lots of fun and we made it to the finish line. Our time wasn't the best, but I ran my first 5K and I might do it again some time.
Me, Gretchen, Shantelle and Lyndon
Samantha, Maren, Kim, Carin, Wesley
Shantelle, Janine, Gretchen, Me, Lyndon
After the race we all talked for a little while the rest of the runners finished and then they gave out awards! I can't remember all of them, but Gretchen, Wesley, Lyndon, Samantha and Maren all placed and got ribbons for their efforts!!
At 1:00 we went to Mom Christensen's house for a bridal shower for Samantha!! It was so much fun…the food was fantastic!! Carin made a delicious potato soup and Erica made her fantastic rolls and chicken salad. Mom and Maren put together a vegetable tray and drink and had the house looking great (as usual). Kim and Whitney made wonderful pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese (and cinnamon) frosting! Oh, everything was so GOOD!! I want to eat lunch again right now.
Shantelle and Gretchen put together two fun games for us to play and then Samantha got to open her presents!! She got some real nice things for her kitchen and home! Samantha was so thankful for her gifts. We all had a fantastic time!!
When we got back home, Shantelle took Gretchen, Lance, Chandler, and Carter back to Cashion where they watched Mud Boggin'!! The boys LOVE monster trucks…so it was fun to see them in real life. Shantelle said it was the biggest Red-Neck fest she had ever seen – but loved every minute of it!!
We ended the day with a nice relaxing evening at home. Bryan and some of the boys watched college football. I cleaned up dinner, picked up the house and messed around on the computer for a little bit. Shantelle and Gretchen watched a movie, while the boys played with Wesley, Cole, Brandon, Stoddard, and Beckham. It is so nice having cousins who live so close. The children LOVE getting together with their cousins. They want to get together as much as possible. We have a great life and are very blessed. Heavenly Father has blessed our family so much!! I love the Lord and am so grateful for the wonderful family He has given to me!!

I really enjoyed reading about your day, so simple but full of FUN!
What a fun day! I am super impressed by all of you who ran the 5K. Shantelle was telling me today that she is super sore. I have never run that far... maybe someday. For now I'll stick with my 2 mile-max :)
It makes me a little jealous reading about cousins, cousins, cousins, we don't have that so much anymore. Maybe we should all move to OK with you all.
Also you are makin' me hungry with all your descriptions of the food (which btw, is a Lindsey tradition - to describe the food)
How can you say PARTY!? i cant believe you guys woke up to run! insanity
Well, it is about time that I read this. I finally got on. I have tried several times. I love to hear about all the families.
