I drove Tyler, Lance, Chandler, and Carter to Houston today to see Shantelle, Dakota, and Bronson! It's a 7 hour drive from our house in Oklahoma. Usually road trip are full of talking, a little fighting and sleeping; however, today was different and I think the opening of a new chapter in my life--everyone was plugged into their device or entertainment. So I plugged myself in too. Tyler and Lance played games on their phones while Chandler and Carter watched videos. I listened to my first audio book for longer than one and half hours. I listened to "wonder". I really enjoyed listening to different voices and expressions of the book. I think I will do this sort of thing more often. I need a list of good books to listen to!
When we arrived in Houston Shantelle and Bronson were so excited to see us! Being 10 months old, Bronson doesn't talk but his big grin and laughter let us know he was excited to see us!
He was super excited and full of smiles every time he saw Lance!
We talked for a few minutes then went down to the pool--
Bronson is so cute with his hat on. (And I love Shantelle's swimsuit cover-up. Very stylish.)
We swam for a bit. Shantelle's friend Lauren and her baby Beckham came down to the pool too. It was fun. We ended the day with meeting Dakota and his selling buddy, Jake, for dinner--at my favorite Pappasitos!! Oh so good!
It was a great day to start our week in Houston!
