June Memories

I can’t believe we are already in July….where did the summer go?? Let’s do a quick recap so far; May 29th our house and cars got hit by a MAJOR Hail Storm!! It broke 9 windows, went through the roof decking in four places, and ruined all the wind shields and many other little things. So, we have been dealing with insurance adjustors, roofers, windows guys, car people and others. Which is fine, it just takes time and energy.

The first week of June was Girl’s Camp for our ward!! I didn’t go this year, but I heard our ward had a wonderful time!! My sister, Kathy, was our ward camp director, so she got to be with the girls all week. Gretchen had lots of fun being with church friends, rafting the river and having several spiritual experiences at camp!! The second week of June, Austin had Scout Camp!! He earned six merit badges in the week. He had a blast being with cousins for a week in the woods!! Lance had a little class at school for a couple of hours to help keep up his reading skills. The third week of June, Lyndon went to EFY in Denton, Texas. He drove down with Whitney and Brookelynn. They had a total blast meeting new people and strengthening their testimonies!! Gretchen went to Texas and attended Girl’s Camp with her cousins, Bailey and Abby. The fourth week of June, my sister, Christine, and her family came up to see us. Then later in the week my brother, John, and his family came!! It was so much fun having them here!! Also, during the month: Shantelle works M-F, 1:00-6:00 for A+ Pest Control

Lyndon had been working on the farm and selling some for A+. He plays basketball at the church every time he has a chance. Gretchen attended three basketball camps! Lance had his 9th birthday!! We celebrated with cousins: Kimball, Grant, and Stoddard!! We also went to Madagascar 3 with the younger boys…It was a super cute movie!! I really liked it!! Bryan and I also took Lance and Gretchen to Golden Corral (Lance’s choice) for their “birthday dinner”!!

All the kids ask for their cousins to come over daily and most of the time we let them!! It is so nice and fun to live by family!! All of them are BEST friends!! Oh yeah… I forgot to tell ya, our two cats had 11 kittens within 24 hours of each other! Needless to say, the kids love it and I, well, I don’t really like it. But thankfully we have friends who wanted cute kittens. We were able to give away 7 of the 11.
